Perthshire will be given the Royal treatment this weekend as Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness Prince Philip visit Perth on Friday as part of a tour in celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It’s a unique opportunity to see The Queen as part of the Jubilee celebrations and a great excuse to visit Perth during your stay at Crieff Hydro.
This visit will be the only stop in Tayside or Fife as part of the Scottish leg of the tour which has already seen the Royal party take in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They will be making several stops through the area throughout the day, during which, The Queen will be presented with the keys to the city and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh will be given the freedom of the city at the Tay Street viewing platform. There will also be a performance by the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland and the tour will visit Balhousie Castle and Perth College, before attending a luncheon at Scone Palace.
The Queen’s visit comes just weeks after Perth was awarded its City status and will be a remarkable opportunity to celebrate this momentous occasion. So if you plan on staying nearby and would like to celebrate with a luxury stay in Crieff Hydro, call us on 01764 651 670.
