If you’re looking for a golf break in the Highlands of Scotland, then the 9th to 16th June is the perfect week for you. Golfers of all abilities can get together and tee off in a variety of competitions based at the Crieff Golf Club as well as the picturesque St. Fillan’s course. The Dornock Course at Crieff Golf Club was built on gently sloping parkland that was once the grounds of Ferntower House. The nine-hole golf course provides a fair, but challenging experience for all abilities. Dornock, a version of the more famous Ferntower Course at the club, measures 2,321 for nine holes.
The par-32 golf course, with five par 4s and four par 3s, is ideal for a quick nine or as part of a 36-hole package. St Fillans Golf Club is situated in the heart of Highland Perthshire, in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland with magnificent lochs and towering mountains. The village of St Fillans sits at the eastern end of Loch Earn, its rows of houses, hotels and guesthouses enjoying the fabulous view up the loch.
Tucked away across the River Earn is the nine-hole St Fillans course. Considering the imposing hills that surround the course, the terrain is surprisingly level, and is popular with those new to the sport yet proves to be a difficult course to score well on for the more experienced player. At this nine hole course each hole is very challenging and a combination of course design, superb green keeping and breathtaking scenery keep players on the course as long as possible.
There are wonderful views of the local Perthshire countryside, and many come for that fact alone. You can take the competitions as seriously as you like but if you want to improve your swing our coach will give you some tips to impress your family and friends.
