The offer is for three night stays and presents as an amazing opportunity to stay at the renowned Crieff Hydro Hotel and enjoy everything the 900 acre estate has to offer. We also believe this is such great value that you might be able to enjoy a few extra indulgences while you are here.

Our minds automatically drift towards the fantastic Victorian Spa. Dining at Crieff Hydro Hotel – Brasserie Style

Whenever you are trying to feed the family, finding the right restaurant atmosphere is always the first hurdle. At Crieff Hydro we offer such a great selection of dining options, that we have perfect venues for both family dining and intimate meals with friends or loved ones.

The Brasserie is the ideal venue for eating together as a family. Many of our guests gather here for their breakfast, lunch or dinner. Under 12 guests tend to eat here quite a lot, as Children’s High Tea is served daily – fuelling them for all of the fun activities involved in Big Country.

The informal atmosphere in The Brasserie makes everyone feel comfortable and it is not just for families; our stylish venue is a great place to enjoy breakfast with friends or to have a blether (with or without a tasty bite).

The Brasserie at Crieff Hydro

The Brasserie at Crieff Hydro – It’s a quality Scottish restaurant that caters for everyone!

We would always recommend reserving your table for evening dining and the great thing is that non-residents can enjoy The Brasserie experience as well!

Our menus have many dishes of Mediterranean and Scottish origin (with a few surprises) – for a substantial meal or a light bite. The Brasserie is a great destination for vegetarians. For lunch, our tapas share option or one of our scrumptious baked potatoes are a really tasty way of enjoying a lighter meal.

Our dinner menu will always have some daily specials to tempt your pallet. We try to offer a wide variety in the evening – everyone can find their favourite ingredients and you can always try different things over a long break at Crieff Hydro. The Brasserie has a fine array of delicious fish and grill options and our food is always cooked exactly how you like it.

For the grown up diners, The Brasserie experience always means choosing from a delicious range of cocktails, international wines (all available by the glass if you would prefer) and speciality coffees and teas.

The Brasserie is an elegant restaurant, beautifully lit and the large mirrors along one wall mean are great for watching the many comings and goings.

Seasonal food in October at the Meikle Restaurant, Crieff Hydro

October is the month most of us start contemplating getting our winter jumpers out and looking for more cosy food. We have to say goodbye to strawberries, broad beans and lobster but we can look forward to fantastic root vegetables, mushrooms and of course, game season.

Bruce Price  — Executive Chef at the Meikle restaurant  —  is a triple winner of the Scottish Chef of the Year awards and is very passionate about using local, seasonal produce. Here is how the Meikle restaurant at Crieff hydro is starting to use seasonal produce in their menu:

Mushrooms

Wild mushrooms grow best in September in October, so look out for tasty varieties like ceps and chanterelle mushrooms. The Meikle restaurant has paired mushrooms with another seasonal favourite, game.

Game

Meikle Restaurant Crieff

Game season is in full swing in October, with partridge, grouse and wood pigeon at their best. The Meikle restaurant’s chefs love working with game and have created a wood pigeon breast dish served with a mushroom cassoulet: a classic pairing of deep, earthy flavours.

Autumnal vegetables

Root vegetables and cauliflower start to come into season in the autumn. Our cream of cauliflower soup with Mull cheddar croutons is a bowl of seasonal, autumnal comfort while our potato and turnip puree does a great job of soaking up the whisky sauce which comes with our haggis.

Scotland has such a fantastic larder, so we try to work with local suppliers and respond to the seasons in our restaurants as much as we can. Have a look at the Meikle restaurant’s menu and book yourself in for a seasonal, Scottish treat.

Challenge Yourself and Climb Ben Ledi This Summer

Calling all hill walkers!

Visit Crieff Hydro this summer and challenge yourself with a walk up Ben Ledi. Standing at 879m high, Ben Ledi is classified as a Corbett and is the highest peak in the Trossachs; a rewarding climb for veteran hillwalkers and courageous beginners alike.

A short drive from Crieff Hydro to the Trossachs will bring you to Ben Ledi which, when translated into Gaelic, means ‘hill of the long shoulder’. Positioned on the edge of the highlands and known for its excellent view points, it is a favourite with hill walkers with well walked paths. Be sure to bring your wellies though as there are some boggy parts.

Along the walk you will catch breath-taking views of Callander and you may even be able to spot Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle in the distance. Some say Ben Ledi has the most romantic scenery in the Highlands and with an impressive waterfall to view along the walk you will see why.

When the walk is finished, head back to Crieff Hydro and take advantage of the adults only Victorian Spa – ‘the most relaxing place on the resort’ or pamper yourself in the salon with a wide range of treatments to help relax after your climb.

Ken Anderson Thai Therapy this Sunday at Crieff Hydro

Thai Therapy at Crieff Hydro Spa this Sunday

Just a quick reminder that renowned Thai Therapy expert Ken Anderson will be joining us at Crieff Hydro for a very special one-off all-day session this Sunday (24 June).

Ken is one of few practitioners of this ancient healing art in the UK and has treated several high profile clients including Actors, Premier League footballers and other Sporting Personalities.

Thai Therapy utilises a number of detailed massage techniques to combat physical and emotional strain and is known to radically reduce stress.

Ken, who first began studying Thai Therapy in order to relieve stress, learned and perfected his techniques first hand with Buddhist masters in Thailand, and has been invited on several occasions to return and further hone his craft.

Needless to say, we are delighted to have Ken with us this Sunday and if you would like to come and experience it for yourself, you can book an hour of Thai Therapy with Ken for £90, or half an hour for £50. Sessions are limited as this is a one-day only event, so get in early to avoid disappointment and enjoy the benefits of this ancient art of well-being.

Ken Anderson Thai Therapy Session Day – Sunday, June 24

Come to Crieff Hydro for Thai Therapy on June 24

Crieff Hydro is delighted to announce that Thai Therapy expert Ken Anderson will be running a treatment day on Sunday, June 24.

Ken is one of only a handful of qualified Thai Therapists practising this ancient art in the UK and throughout his lengthy career, he has become famous for his ability having regularly treated several celebrities and high profile figures including actors, premier league footballers and many other sports personalities.

Thai Therapy is a form of massage with its roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice that incorporates elements of meditation, twisting and deep stretching in order to combat both physical and mental health problems, most commonly stress and anxiety.

Ken discovered Thai Therapy through his own ill health caused by stress, and a course of Thai helped him where conventional medicine failed. His first few treatments were an emotional and physical turning point: “I was so euphoric, so incredibly alive and my sense of balance and well-being was restored,” says Ken.

Since graduating, he has travelled to Thailand where he was privileged to practice under the eagle eye of Buddhist masters. Ken also had the valuable experience of practicing at Bangkok’s famous Wat Pho Temple and thereafter Temples in Chang Mai. He has since been invited back to Thailand on two more occasions to gain further experience and knowledge from the Masters in Bangkok.

“It’s satisfying to be able to dispel headaches and relieve stress,” says Ken. “But the greatest reward is to be able to effect profound changes in people’s lives with this very powerful and truly holistic therapy which leaves you physically and mentally alert.”

On Sunday 24 June, you can book an hour of Thai Therapy with Ken for £90, or half an hour for £50. Sessions are limited as this is a one-day only event, so get in early to avoid disappointment and enjoy the benefits of this ancient art of well-being.
