We had some very special guests recently return to Crieff Hydro Hotel and Resort!! All of our guests are extremely special to us, but when a couple share a big day like their wedding day with us, it always brings a smile on our faces to see them back years later, and still very happily married!!

A massive congratulations to Kay and Andrew Campbell on their 25th Wedding Anniversary which was on April 9th– they were married at Crieff Hydro in 1988, and they popped in for lunch to celebrate their big anniversary and to see how much the hotel has changed over the last 25 years! Look at the great picture below showing the happy couple in the same spot 25 years before!

NATIONAL AWARD FOR YOUNG MARKETER

Now in its seventh year, the Young Marketer of the Year award was created by the HMA, a branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, to recognise the cream of young marketing talent in the hotel industry. Eligible candidates have to demonstrate they have made a significant contribution to the success of the company and be aged under 30. Young Marketer Awards

Following a record number of entries for the awards this year, a Highly Commended second place was presented to Geoff Morrison of Crieff Hydro Hotel at a the Savoy in London for his strategic approach and campaigns on behalf of the resort.

Geoff from the Crieff Hydro Hotel was delighted with the result, he said “to be recognised alongside worldwide brands is outstanding, our unique combination of accommodation, free childcare and lively activities means that Crieff Hydro has leapfrogged many larger holiday providers” .

Marketing Awards

The HMA also announced the winners of its Annual Marketing Awards, sponsored by American Express, which are now in their 19th year, with two companies scooping double awards.

“We were delighted to receive a record number of entries for the awards this year and the judges were extremely impressed with the quality of the submissions. It is proof that there are some great hotel marketing campaigns out there,“ said Linda Moore, Chairman Hotel Marketing Association.

The Hotel Marketing Association Awards are the only dedicated recognition scheme which celebrate good practice in hotel marketing and are judged by industry experts. The HMA’s membership comprises sales and marketing specialist and operators of both independent and chain hotels.

For so many people, owning a horse has been a life long dream, that for some reason or another has not become a reality. Whether it be due to living circumstances, or because of financial restraints – we know that it is not an easy hobby or passion to upkeep. Taking this into consideration, here at Crieff Hydro Riding Centre we have ‘Own a Pony Afternoons’, this means that for those unable to have their own horse – they are able to come up to the Riding Centre and  feel like they have their own pony for one special day!

  • Learning about the daily care of a horse
