Now in its seventh year, the Young Marketer of the Year award was created by the HMA, a branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, to recognise the cream of young marketing talent in the hotel industry. Following a record number of entries for the awards this year, a Highly Commended second place was presented to Geoff Morrison of Crieff Hydro Hotel at a the Savoy in London for his strategic approach and campaigns on behalf of the resort.
Geoff from the Crieff Hydro Hotel was delighted with the result, he said “to be recognised alongside worldwide brands is outstanding, our unique combination of accommodation, free childcare and lively activities means that Crieff Hydro has leapfrogged many larger holiday providers” .
The HMA also announced the winners of its Annual Marketing Awards, sponsored by American Express, which are now in their 19th year, with two companies scooping double awards.
“We were delighted to receive a record number of entries for the awards this year and the judges were extremely impressed with the quality of the submissions. It is proof that there are some great hotel marketing campaigns out there,“ said Linda Moore, Chairman Hotel Marketing Association.
