Summer fun at Auchingarrich Wildlife Park

Auchingarrich Wildlife Park is a great way to spend the day in Perthshire

There are plenty of things to see and do in and around Perthshire. And with the new Ring of Breadalbane Explorer hop-on hop-off bus service, which pulls up right outside Crieff Hydro, there’s no excuse to not get out and about. One of the most popular attractions on the bus route is Auchingarrich Wildlife Park.

Take a trip to Auchingarrich and get up close to the park’s fantastic selection of wildlife – from ring-tailed lemurs and albino wallabies to meerkats, red deer and wildcats. And throughout the summer, the park’s fantastic Hatchery will give kids – and adults – the chance to handle small animals with daily hatchings of chicks and ducks. And if you’re really lucky, you may even get to witness a young duckling or chick hatch into life in the Hatchery’s onsite incubator.

There are plenty of other activities and attractions available to keep the whole family occupied – from pony rides and falconry to the onsite fishery with plenty of kids activities available. Also, a new addition to Auchingarrich last year, the Torlum Coffee Shop, can be visited independently from the centre and will be serving snacks, lunches, cakes, coffees, teas, ice creams and soft drinks all throughout the summer. It also offers early suppers from 4pm to 7pm daily.

So for a fun and educational way to spend the day with your wild ones during your time in Crieff, then Auchingarrich Wildlife Park, just outside Comrie on the Breadalbane Explorer bus route, is a top choice.
